Think of your website as a house. Your XML sitemap would be the outline, telling Google where everything is. This way, the Google crawler can easily find and analyze all the content on your website.

But before we proceed to the step-by-step process of creating a sitemap, let me define, what is SITEMAP.

A sitemap is a list of URLs that provides information about the structure of your website. Search engine spiders can use this information to find out what pages are on your site. Sitemaps are useful because they allow you to see how often certain pages are visited. 

You can also use them to tell if someone has bookmarked a particular page. You can create a sitemap manually by creating a new XML file and then uploading it to your server. Alternatively, you can use an online tool to create a sitemap automatically.

1/ CREATE A SITEMAP CODE

1. Visit the Sitemap Generator to create a code. It will generate a blog sitemap.
2. Enter the website in the blank field like https://www.nickeducate.ml After clicking Generate Sitemap, copy the entire code

Note: do not put “/” at the last of the URL it will not work.

2/ INPUT THE COPIED CODE TO YOUR BLOGGER ACCOUNT

1. Open your blogger account then click the Settings option
2. Scroll down then look at Crawlers and indexing
3. To enable custom robots.txt, press the switch button. 
4. Press on custom robots.txt to open a window where you can paste the copied code and confirm.

3/ SUBMIT SITEMAP TO GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE

1. Simply go to Google Search Console and select your property or website to add your sitemap.
2. There will be a "sitemaps" option in the dashboard; simply click on it.
3. Enter the URL of the sitemap, not the blog
4. And then click Submit. A prompt message will appear saying "Added successfully."

That’s it, Blogger now has a sitemap. Allow Google Bolts a few minutes to read it. In Google Search Console, you have now submitted a sitemap to Blogger.

The robots.txt file lets search engines know about your XML sitemap files, so you don't need to notify them yourself. 

The XML sitemap generator counts all of the blog posts on your blogger blog and divides them into 500-post batches. It then generates multiple XML feeds for each batch, so that each post on your blog is included in one of these XML sitemaps. This allows search engines to find your content more.
